The equipment division is part of Ireland's largest Irish owned dental company. Dental Medical Ireland is now in its 10th year, but has been through many changes before that, dating back over 80. We aim to offer clear concise, and honest advice, to help you find the right equipment that best suits your requirements. We are strongly aware that today's economy is extremely challenging for both patients, your practice, and want to work together to give you the value and quality your practice deserves at a completive price.

At the core of the equipment division is a team of three members, namely Richard Woods, Myles Lally, and Pat O'Brien. Collectively they have over 20 years of experience but draw from an archive of over 80. Each member provide a set of unique traits that together can give your practice the best possible outcome when you intend to add new, or upgrade current equipment. Furthermore they also have a technical background ensuring they understand the dental and equipment industry at a deeper level than most.

Richard Woods
The division is managed by Richard who has been DMI for 6 years. He specialises in digital radiography, but is also trained on A-Dec, Kavo and Planmeca systems along with other small equipment such as autoclaves, handpieces, suction motors and compressors. He holds a BAI mechanical engineering degree from Trinity College Dublin and an MSc biomedical engineering degree from Oxford University, UK, along a masters degree in business management from University College Dublin.

Myles Lally
Myles moved over from engineering manager to installation manager as dental projects became increasingly demanding and requiring greater professionalism. He has 9 years of experience with DMI and his commitment and enthusiasm to understand and deliver the customer's needs is second to none. Previously, he ran the engineering department at Sharp text for a number of years before been approached by DMI. He specialises in cabinetry and disinfection washer but has had extensive training on many dental units over the years including A-Dec and Kavo.

Pat O'Brien
Pat is the CEO and one of the founders of DMI. In addition to managing the company, Pat is responsible for running the dental consumables division and also supports Richard Woods in the equipment division. Pat is a Chartered Accountant by profession and has over 28 years experience in industry. His main speciality is surgery start ups and financing options.
